How to Watch Glastonbury 2019 Live: Every Headline Act

After its fallow year – a year off – one of the world’s most poplar music festivals is back, and the weather forecast looks very good. Headliners include Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure so here’s how to watch live coverage of Glastonbury 2019 for free.

As per usual, the BBC is going to be broadcasting extensive coverage of the festival from Worthy Farm and we’ll explain all your options including TV and radio. Glastonbury 2019 Line-up and Headliner Times

We’re not sure if this year beats 2017’s trio of Radiohead, Foo Fighters and Ed Sheeran – although Ed seems odd next to those two bands – but you can watch the 2019 line-up on the Pyramid stage with the set times below for each day.

Friday headline times

  • Stormzy – 22:15 – 23:45
  • George Ezra – 20:15 – 21:15
  • Lauryn Hill – 18:00 – 19:15
  • Bastille – 16:15 – 17:15

Saturday headline times

  • The Killers – 21:45 – 23:45
  • Liam Gallagher – 19:15 – 20:30
  • Janet Jackson – 17:45 – 18:35
  • Hozier – 16:00 – 17:00

Sunday headline times

  • The Cure – 21:30 – 23:30
  • Vampire Weekend – 19:30 – 20:30
  • Miley Cyrus – 17:45 – 18:45
  • Kylie – 15:45 – 17:00

The Other Stage will be headlined by Tame Impala, The Chemical Brothers, Christine and the Queens, Two Door Cinema Club, Courteeners and Dave among others.

The West Holts Stage hosts the likes of Jon Hopkins, Wu-Tang Clan, Janelle Monáe, Jorja Smith, Jungle and Kamasi Washington.

The John Peel Stage will see Interpol, Sean Paul and The Streets.

How to watch Glastonbury 2019 live online

Like previous years, you can get plenty of Glastonbury live coverage via the BBC Glastonbury website where you’ll be able to choose which stage you want to watch from. The Pyramid, Other, West Holts, John Peel and Park stages will all be streamed live in HD and you can watch on PC, smartphone, tablet and your smart TV.

They will be live between the following times:

Friday 28th June – 13.30 – 00.15
Saturday 29th June – 13.00 – 00.15
Sunday 30th June – 12.15 – 23.15

This means the BBC Music Introducing Stage will not be live streamed, but the BBC said “on demand videos will be made available shortly after the event”.

The website will be the place to go to watch back any performances of various acts you missed across the festival and make sure to use BBC iPlayer as well. You’ll be able to catch-up on over 100 performances for 30 days following the festival.

How to watch Glastonbury 2019 live on TV

You don’t have to watch online, of course, as the traditional television will also feed your need for live music without standing in a muddy field. TV (and radio) coverage will be presented by the likes of Jo Whiley, Clara Amfo, Edith Bowman, Lauren Laverne, Mark Radcliffe, Annie Mac, Zoe Ball and Huw Stephens.

The BBC has confirmed it will once again broadcast more than 30 hours of coverage across BBC One, Two and Four. Headline acts on the Pyramid stage will be shown on BBC Two and BBC Four will show ‘extensive and discerning coverage of highlights’ as well as live acts from various stages. BBC One will have a special edition of The One Show from Worthy Farm.

Friday 28th June

  • On BBC One, there will be a special edition of The One Show from the site.
  • BBC Two will kick off the evening with sets from Jorja Smith, ROSALÍA and Sam Fender.
  • BBC Two will showcase all the action including Stormzy’s headline set on Friday evening.
  • BBC Four will cover the biggest moments from across The Pyramid, The Park, John Peel, Other and West Holts stages including a set from Tame Impala.

Saturday 29th June

  • BBC Two will showcase all the Glasto action of the afternoon, before returning to Worthy Farm in the evening for the full headline set from The Killers, with coverage from other stages right through the night.
  • BBC Four will again bring you curated highlights from The Pyramid, The Park, John Peel, Other and West Holts stages until late on Saturday.

Sunday 30th June

  • BBC One will bring you Kylie Minogue’s legend’s set from the Pyramid Stage.
  • BBC Two will bring you The Cure’s headline set later that evening.
  • BBC Four will cover the biggest moments from across The Pyramid, The Park, John Peel, Other and West Holts stages until late on Sunday.

How to listen to Glastonbury 2019 live on radio

For Glastonbury 2019, the BBC is broadcasting hours and hours of coverage so you can tune into Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2, 5 Live, BBC 6 Music to catch the festival over the weekend. 

There’s loads of stuff happening across the BBC radio stations including Annie Mac and Jack Saunders kicking things off on Thursday evening 8-11pm. 

When it comes to the headliners, Stormzy will be live on 1Xtra, The Killers come via BBC Radio 2 and the The Cure can be found on 6 Music.

This year the BBC is promoting its Sounds app as the place to go to keep up with all the, er, sounds of Glastonbury 2019.
